Anex Group sets up its tour operator brands with the OTDS format for the restart

Following the takeover of several tour operator brands of the insolvent Thomas Cook Group, the Turkish Anex Group has established itself as an important player in the German tour operator landscape. For distribution, Anex now relies on the OTDS format: The conversion of data production for the brands Anex Tour, Bucher Reisen and Öger Tours to the Open Travel Data Standard has now been completed by WBS Blank as service provider for the tour operator software.

The approximately three billion data records for all hotel-only and package tour offerings of the three brands will be produced and delivered to Amadeus Leisure IT in just three hours. Via the Amadeus tools BistroPortal and the IBEs, the Anex data is thus available to the offline and online distribution. With 98% correct prices and 97% available offers, the OTDS data quality is on a very high level that outdated formats cannot reach.

Murat Kizilsac, Managing Director of Anex Group Germany, believes the company is thus well positioned for the new start in travel after the Corona pandemic: “When bookings pick up again, the travel offers of our tour operator brands are optimally positioned in the distribution systems with important additional information and top data quality.” Helmut Telgmann, COO of WBS Blank, adds: “The flexibility in the design of products and prices as well as the short production and processing times of OTDS enable Anex to adapt quickly at any time. Our customers are enabled with the OTDS tool to control their offer volume with high quality in an ad hoc and very performant manner.”
