With ErholungsWerk Post Postbank Telekom e.V., the OTDS association welcomes a new member that is already actively using OTDS to optimize the online bookability of its travel offers on the company website. The goal was to replace the previous INFX format – with tangible success: OTDS results in significantly faster loading times and lower error rates in the internet booking engine.
ErholungsWerk’s technology partners have established an optimized data process based on OTDS: ISO Travel Solutions enables the export of master data from the Pacific booking system in the OTDS format. Middleware provider a-five converts this into a web-compatible JSON format, and the web service provider Bräutigam integrates the data with non-bookable content via the pressmind® PIM system and makes it bookable on the website.
For Thomas Egger, Head of CRM at ErholungsWerk, it’s not just the qualities of the data format that speak for joining the OTDS association – it’s also the organizational structure and collaborative spirit: “My very first participation at the OTDS Summit made it clear that there’s a great sense of community, with all OTDS members discussing and optimizing functionalities and developments together.” He also values the opportunity for members to directly contribute their own requirements.
