milzer GmbH joins OTDS e.V. and introduces itself at the OTDS

Milzer GmbH has joined the OTDS association as a new member. The software company, which specializes in data integration and automation for tour operators and travel agencies, is increasingly adopting the Open Travel Data Standard (OTDS) and sees itself as a multiplier in promoting the wider use of the OTDS standard.

Milzer’s goal is to reduce proprietary interfaces and individual parsing logics. “OTDS provides the foundation for standardization: fewer special cases, less ‘data junk,’ and more clarity and speed in interface projects,” summarizes CEO Simon Milz, explaining the motivation behind joining the association. He is also looking forward to exchanging ideas within the OTDS association and contributing practical experience from ongoing projects.

The data format is playing an increasingly central role at Milzer when it comes to offer, price, and availability data. The company plans to develop standardized OTDS feeds for its tour operator clients and to integrate the format into its “Connect API”. Within this interface for tour operator and supplier data, OTDS will help to better decouple offer systems from booking processes.

Simon Milz will present his company as a new member at the OTDS <Summit8> on November 18 in Frankfurt. This event brings together new and long-standing members, users, and those interested in the data format to exchange insights on exciting use cases, strategies for data quality, and developments in the standard.
