Coral Travel, Windrose Finest Travel and LuxairTours: three more tour operators deliver their product portfolio to Traveltainment’s distribution system in very high data quality by using the Open Travel Data Standard (OTDS).
Coral Travel, the new classic tour operator of Ferien Touristik, relied completely and exclusively on OTDS for its market entry at the end of June. The newcomer is a successful pilot customer of the Leipzig-based travel technology provider TraSo and its OTDS export. Here, Coral Travel’s data deliveries are produced from the xRes system and delivered to Traveltainment for processing. Further distribution systems are to follow, as well as the portfolio of the dynamic tour operator Ferien Touristik.
Also Windrose Finest Travel chose OTDS as data format for the initial integration of its hotel and package tours only into Traveltainment systems. In order to leverage technical synergy potential, Windrose migrated to the IT infrastructure of the Munich parent company after the takeover by the FTI GROUP. This made it possible to export the seaside holiday products of the “Finest Places” division to the destinations Arabia, Indian Ocean, South-East Asia and Europe in OTDS format.
LuxairTours offers package and last-minute travel from Luxembourg Airport. The Luxair brand, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is also an interesting alternative for around 20,000 German holidaymakers from Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland every year.
LuxairTours uses an OTDS player from Bewotec, which provides around 6 million offer data for the LuxairTours booking website every day. In addition, this data is exported daily from the player to Traveltainment. Thanks to OTDS, LuxairTours’ prices are correctly displayed in 95 percent of all offers, i.e. they correspond to the price that the organiser system returns on the booking enquiry. In addition, 96 percent of all offers can be booked, which illustrates the high data quality that can be achieved by using OTDS.
